(2)、 Every language used daily by ordinary people is constantly changing. English is no exception. Perhaps one of the best ways to observe the changes in the English language is to read a passage that people have translated into English at different periods over the centuries.

English is only one of two or three dozen languages which seem to have a common ancestor. The language from which English developed is called indo-European (印欧语系 ).
